The ISO/IEC 27701:2019 certificate certifies that GigaCloud has reliable personal data management processes and also confirms compliance with GDPR requirements.

ISO/IEC 27701:2019 is the world's most authoritative personal information protection standard. It was developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) together with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The standard helps organizations effectively protect and process personal information in accordance with the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK Data Protection Act (DPA) and data protection laws adopted in other countries and regions.

ISO 27701 is an extension of the requirements and guidelines set forth in ISO 27001.

Therefore, to obtain an ISO 27701 certificate, you must have an existing ISO 27001 certificate. As a reminder, GigaCloud passed ISO 27001 certification back in 2016. Currently, we have two certificates of the International Organization for Standardization:

• ISO/IEC 27001:2013
• ISO/IEC 27701:2019

We remind you that the GigaCloud cloud operator has a number of certificates in the field of information security. GigaCloud is the only one among Ukrainian cloud operators to have a certificate of compliance with the PCI DSS information security standard. Also, our infrastructure is certified by SAP and has a certificate of compliance of the comprehensive information protection system (CIPS).
